Digital Painting
In my first ever appropriation digital painting titled "Diabetic Echoes," I've placed myself in place of an elderly old man using Van Gogh's, incorporating various elements symbolizing the challenges of diabetes. Themed as "Diabetes Distress," the artwork portrays the emotional journey of living with this chronic condition. Each element within the painting shares a unique story, collectively depicting the overwhelming and frustrating experience of diabetes distress. The overall narrative reflects my personal struggle with the sudden shift from a healthy life to a decade-long battle with diabetes. The painting encapsulates the emotional toll, daily struggles, and the resilience required to manage this chronic disease.
